Lydie's little Family

Ramblings of a cloth diapering/baby wearing/ breastfeeding/ co-sleeping mommy :)

Slightly irritated that another mom just insinuated that having two kids less than 3 years apart is forcing the eldest to grow up.

Like. No? Me and my brother were two under two with an AP mom. Neither of us “grew up”

I just don’t like being told I’m harming one if I want another.

Eh. Who cares I guess

My oldest and middle child are only 14 months apart my nieces are the same…

I didn’t find she was insinuating anything, just responding to my original post about wanting to wait and her experiences. Remember she does have 3 kids so she would know what it’s like since the first two were closer together vs the 2nd and 3rd. We only have 1 each so can’t really say from experience as a parent.
Like I said, my brother and I were very close and 3years apart. Because of personality. Some people are twins and don’t get along :) I don’t think you need children close together for them to be good friends, but I also don’t think it would hurt it. But on the flip side the eldest may feel jealously toward the smaller one.
It’s a choice everyone makes for their individual family, no one was trying to say your opinion or feelings or wants are wrong :) sorry you feel that way.

It was the “forcing your kid to grow up” comment that irritated me. And the “two years apart is too close.” My mom tandem nursed me and my brother and we coslept and got ample attention and love. Plus Lydia is down to 3 feeds a day on her own and sleeps a solid 10 hours a night.

I just don’t like the implication that I’m somehow doing wrong by my child for wanting two.

Exactly! Babies closer together actually tend to have more unified families. Because there’s more understanding between children.

How many of you kiss your kid(s) on the lips or your families do it?

Michael said that most people don’t do that and it’s not normal so I shouldn’t.
I laughed at him.

We give all kinds of kisses over here! Lip kisses, cheek kisses, top of head kisses, nose and eyebrow kisses……

Lips, cheeks, bellies, heads :) everything not in the underwear zone here

Apparently some vegans are telling people not to eat honey to support bees.STOP. STOP NOW.DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW BEES WORK?Buy honey (local if possible) -> support beekeepers -> support bees.I swear people don’t even think this stuff out. Beekeepers provide bees with an environment in which they can live, and are encouraged to thrive. Bees then have a big huge giant person who can deal with any threats to the hive. Yes, honey is a winter food supply for bees, but beekeepers (unless they’re dicks, in which case they’d be shooting themselves in the foot) will NEVER take too much honey from a hive, and will always ensure that bees have enough food. I had to reblog just for “DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW BEES WORK?" because it made me realize that some people really don’t!

Didn’t any of you watch “Bee Movie”?

no. i got second hand embarrassment watching the trailer so i couldn’t get through the movie.

This is heartbreaking.I’m not a believer in heaven, but this makes me feel so sad and miss bean. Although I have Lydia, and it would have been impossible to have both.
